Short summary
Randomised trials are well recognised as the preferred method for determining the effects of a healthcare intervention. There are tens of thousands taking place around the world right now. Would you like to learn more about how to assess the quality of those done by others and the key methods to consider if you were going to do one yourself? This Tuesday’s lecture will introduce you to some of the key issues.
Short bio
Professor Mike Clarke has been involved in dozens of randomised trials and reviewed thousands in systematic reviews over the last four decades. He regularly advises people about the design of trials and teaches internationally about them, including at the University of Oxford and in Tromsø at UiT and UNN.
